DIN EN 61000-4-2 VDE 0847-4-2:2009-12

This standard contains the German version of the 2nd edition of the European Standard EN 61000-4-2 (version 2009) and is identical with the International Standard IEC 61000-4-2 Ed. 2.0 (version 2008). It describes the immunity test of electrical and electronic equipment against electrostatic discharges In relation to the previous edition the requirements concerning the climatic conditions in the laboratory and for the evaluation of the test results and the test report were modified. This revision of the standard intends to add specifications and informations concerning the calibration of the test system and the uncertainty of the test. For this purpose the new annexes B to E werde added. The aim is to improve the reproducibility of the test. Furthermore the requirement that all test levels according to table 1 up to and including the specified test levell shall be applied, is restricted to the air discharge.
