DIN EN 61000-3-12 VDE 0838-12:2012-06

This standard contains the German version of the 2nd edition of the European Standard EN 61000-3-12:2005 and is identical with the 2nd edition of the International Standard IEC 61000-3-12. It contains requirements and limits for harmonic current emissions of equipment with a rated current above 16 A and up to maximum 75 A and are intended for connection to the public low-voltage supply system. Besides to the requirements the relevant measurement and simulation methods and – via reference to IEC 61000-3-2 – the test conditions are specified that serve to the verification of the conformity with the requirements of this standard. For equipment that do not fulfil the requirements and limits of this standard this does not mean that they cannot be connected, however, the agreement of the relevant distribution network operator is necessary in this case. In relation to the previous edition of this standard the terms THD and PWHD were replaced by THC and PWHC, reference is taken to the reference current instead to the rated current, a new limit table was introduced and type test conditions for specific equipment were added in a new annex A.
