This VDE-Guideline is part of a series of VDE-Guidelines for the further training of personnel in broadband expansion. It describes the three modules civil engineering – blow-in technology – pull-in technology for fibre optic cables and power cables for distribution networks. The application of the VDE-Guideline to power cables is related to the 5G expansion of the networks and is included herein. This VDE-Guideline describes the basic principles for further training as a specialist in line construction. To complete the advanced training as a line construction specialist, participation in both in-depth courses based on the modules VDE 0800-222 and VDE 0800-224 is mandatory. - VDE 0800 Part 222: In-depth module line blow-in construction - VDE 0800 Part 224: In-depth module line pull-in construction The modular structure allows the training provider to offer the courses as individual modules or to combine them into a single course. Each module in the series concludes with a learning assessment described in the individual VDE-Guidelines. All VDE-Guidelines describe theoretical and practical skills to be taught.
