Critical infrastructures (CRITIS) are facilities with important significance for the state community, the failure or impairment of which would result in lasting supply bottlenecks, significant disruptions to public safety or other dramatic consequences. In addition to the energy, water, food, information technology and telecommunications, health, finance and insurance sectors, critical infrastructure also includes road traffic engineering equipment in the transport and traffic sector. In view of the high risk situation, the operators of such critical facilities have a special responsibility to protect the associated eqiupment and systems against failures and impairments. The aim of this document is to map the DIN EN ISO/IEC 27000 series of standards, taking into account the required CRITIS aspects for a B3S (sector-specific security standard), to the concrete conditions in municipal road traffic in the form of a document in order to enable the implementation of an information security management system (ISMS) based on the DIN EN ISO/IEC 27001:2017-06 standard for all operators.
