This standard contains the German version of the European Standard EN 50364 with requirements related to human exposure to electromagnetic fields from devices operating in the frequency range 0 MHz to 300 GHz and used in the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS), Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and similar applications. The objective of this standard is the demonstration of compliance of the devices covered by this standard with the basic restrictions (Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)) which are specified for the for safety of the general public in radio-frequency electromagnetic fields and exposure limits which are specified for the for safety of workers. The measurement methods are described in EN 62369-1 which is referenced in this standard.
