This standard contains the German version of the European Standard EN 50360 with requirements related to human exposure to electromagnetic fields from wireless communication devices in the frequency range 300 MHz to 6 GHz. This product standard applies to wireless communication devices e.g. mobile phones and headsets that are used in close proximity to the human ear. The objective of this standard is the demonstration of compliance of the equipment covered by this standard with the basic restrictions (Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)) which are specified for the for safety of the general public in radio-frequency electromagnetic fields and exposure limits which are specified for the for safety of workers. The measurement method is described in EN 62209-1 which is referenced in this standard. The standard serves for the implementation of article 3.1 (a) of the European Directive 2014/53/EU.
