This standard is valid for PVC-isolated equipment wires and stranded equipment, which are specified for the wiring of telecommunication systems, the wiring of electronic devices as well as the wiring of telecommucation installations and information processing installations for the purpose of VDE 0800 Part 1 for temperatures up to 70 °C. According to this standard the equipment wires and stranded equipment shall not be used for the purpose of high voltage current installation exterior to the devices. For the use of equipment wires and stranded equipment DIN VDE 0891 Part 1 and Part 2 are valid. This corrigendum to the existing version of DIN VDE 0812 (VDE 0812):1988-11 is adaptes to other standards of the DIN VDE 0800 (VDE 0800) series. This corrigendum includes a new version of subclause 6.3.4.
