This part of lEC 60320 specifies the general requirements for two-pole appliance couplers, with and without protective conductors, for the connection of electrical devices for household and similar general purposes to the mains supply. This standard also applies to appliance inlets/appliance outlets integrated or incorporated in appliances or other equipment. The rated voltage does not exceed 250 V (a.c.) and the rated current does not exceed 16 A.
