This standard specifies requirements and tests for travel adaptors for a.c. only with or without earthing contact, with or without shutter, with or without protection means. A travel adaptor is an integral unit for use abroad incorporating one or more plugs according to different national standards and a socket outlet for plugs according to EN 50075 and the German standards DIN 49406, DIN 49441 und DIN 49464.
