This International Standard defines the quality and properties for sulfur hexafluoride SF6 for use in electrical equipment. It also defines the quality and properties of nitrogen (N2) and carbontetrafluoride (CF4) which are used in mixtures with SF6. Analytical detection techniques applicable to SF6 and complementary gases are also defined.
