This standard describes posibilities for the maintenance of equipment and installations of electrical supply networks as well as general applicable procedures. It applies to operators of electrical supply networks especially public networks. Excluded are for the time being:
- High voltage direct current (HVDC) power transmissions;
- traction systems; road lightning networks;
- equipment for the end-users;
- installations for the generation of electrical energy.
The present DIN VDE 0109-2 (VDE 0109-2) is only valid in connection with DIN V VDE V 0109-1 (VDE V 0109-1).
