This Technical Specification is applicable for intrinsically safe systems which contain electronically controlled spark duration limitation with the aim to provide more electrical power while maintaining the safety level. The safety level for explosion Group IIC or IIB is adequate to the levels of protection Ex “ib” or Ex “ic”. This Technical Specification is also applicable for Group I and Group III.
