Abstract:
This paper shows different possibilities for how grid-side modeling can be carried out for transient stability investigations. An ideal grid, grid with short-circuit power, grid with inertia and a connection via a double line are analyzed. In addition, the fault generation type is considered, where fault impedances, grid-side voltage dips and ideal short-circuit events are used. This results in a recommendation for transient stability investigations, also known as fault ride through investigations (FRT).
