Abstract:
An adaptive fast charging system offers a solution for sustainable electromobility. By reusing used vehicle batteries, a system is created, consisting of two energy storage units (each with 88kW, 90 kWh) and a charging infrastructure with a total power of 172kW. The prototype is designed to boost the grid connection power by a factor of 3.5 - 5. This makes it possible to install a fast charging infrastructure at grid connections with low power, independent of the location. This paper will present the development of the prototype and the current status of the project as well as first practical measurements and improvement potentials.
