Abstract:
Three-phase traction inverter design needs to realize high power density in EV applications. The inverter architecture design is mainly based on the shape and dimension of power module. In this paper, a novel compact three-phase traction inverter architecture based on double-side-end double-sided bonding power module is proposed and tested. Double-sided direct cooling is realized by soldering the power module on pin-fin baseplate. Low parasitic inductance is also realized by double-side-end busbar design. The proposed three-phase inverter is also established and tested.
