Thermal Management Solutions by Additive Manufacturing – Powder Bed Fusion and Diffusion Bonding

Abstract:
The market share of products made by Additive Manufacturing increased significantly in the last years. Due to the freedom of design, parts can have very complex internal structures for heat transfer or cooling. The heat transfer can be further promoted by using a multi material approach. With several additive manufacturing processes enabling the use of two or more materials within one component, the interest grows. In the contribution examples made by powder bed fusion and sheet lamination combined with diffusion bonding were presented.
