Abstract:
This paper proposes a high frequency switching active filter to reduce the volume and weight of conventional passive filter used to reduce electromagnetic interference. The selected solution is an AC/DC active rectifier (H-bridge) connected in parallel of an electronic polluting load. Based on harmonic current injection, the active filter provides current variations at the first harmonics of the switching frequency without affecting the fundamental. The control of the active filter is made through a feedback loop which is independent from the polluting load in order to obtain an adaptative filter design.
