Abstract:
Electric Vehicles (EV) have been provoking many changes in the manner our society behaves. This scenario, encouraged mainly by the progress of environmental guidelines and by government incentives, raises serious concerns regarding the possible impacts that may occur in the Distribution Systems (DS). In this sense, it is important that studies focused on the effects of the performance of EV in the network are carried out with sophisticated computational analysis to ensure that the operation planning of the DS is executed safely and efficiently, apart from contributing to innovation in the electricity sector. Thus, the objective of this work is to develop a methodology to serve as a basis for the analysis of the impact of EV in DS. The implementation of the methodology is based on the Monte Carlo Method (MCM). The results indicate a direct relationship between the increase in the penetration level of EV and the impacts on the system, and, therefore, demonstrate the importance of developing new techniques to promote impact analysis on electrical networks.
