Abstract:
In aviation, reliability and power-to-weight ratio are particularly important and the dual-stator permanent magnet synchronous machine (DS-PMSM) is moving further into the focus of research. The two separate winding systems and new fast SiC semi-conductors allow the use of magnetic coupling and a tar-geted highly dynamic control operation. Using a Co-Simulation from MATLAB/Maxwell, three winding arrangements are compared, and the influences of harmonics are investigated. In addition, the systems are evaluated for dynamics and control performance. It can be shown that harmonics can be suppressed, and the iron losses of the machine are reduced if the winding is coupled in a specific sequence.
