Abstract:
The current trend towards highly utilized SiC-inverters for automotive traction drives as well as high safety demands for autonomous vehicles requires a condition monitoring of the inverter. This paper presents an evaluation of lifetime sensitive parameters (LSP) for a health monitoring of power modules with respect to typical automotive requirements. The drain-source on-state voltage and the corresponding measurement concept for an integration in the inverter is selected for a detailed investigation.
