Abstract:
Bicycle races are getting more and more popular all over the world. In a time trial, cyclists are always chasing shorter time and better ranking, and these never come without strategies. Thus, our group proposes a power allocation model in relation to track position in a cycling race, which has a concrete basis of physics and biology. Our model uses power curve to model athletes’ remaining energy and use PSO algorithm for optimization. The model is then tested on real world cycling race cases and produce convincing strategies.
