Abstract:
Objective: In order to clarify the technical position and development trend of 100m hurdles athletes and to give scientific reference for specialized training, it is necessary to examine the athletic and technical performance of elite Chinese women competing in the 100m hurdles. Methods: The top five competitors in the women’s 100-meter hurdles final of the 2022 National Grand Prix (Huangshi Station) were photographed and analyzed by fixed-point scanning, and the technical advantages and weaknesses were analyzed by means of in-depth expertise in the fields of sports biomechanics and sports training. Conclusions: 1) Athletes’ successes have changed throughout time in a wave-like and spiraling fashion, and their competitiveness in this Grand Prix has remained consistent. 2) Break the women’s 100-meter hurdle race down into five stages: the first hurdle, the second hurdle, the third hurdle, the fourth hurdle, the seventh hurdle, the tenth hurdle, and the finish line. 3) Chinese young athletes need to develop their sprinting and maintaining speed skills in comparison to elite foreign athletes. and logically design the obstacles where the overall process speed is increasing, ensuring that the speed change in the obstacles is relatively stable. 4) The women’s 100-meter hurdles have a changeable rule, which states that there are 8 steps in the starting stage, 3 steps between hurdles, and 5 or 6 steps with a steady position in the sprint stage. 5) Chinese athletes should postpone the appearance of the maximum pace and regulate the onset of exhaustion after the seventh hurdle. delay the time when the maximum speed appears, and control the time when the fatigue occurs after the seventh hurdle.
