Abstract:
Space obstacle detection is important in avoiding obstacles for blind people and automatic driving. The passive source acoustic wave or ambient noise will reflect when there are obstacles and is received by detectors. Using cross-correlation, the passive signal can be synthetized as active source gather that is like the one in seismic prospecting. Finally, the synthetized gather can be imaging according to the depth pre-stack migration, and the space obstacle can be detected. Both theoretical data and experimental data tested the method effectively.
