Research on a Road Network Establishment Method

Abstract:
This paper proposes a road network establishment method, including obstacle element extraction based on digital elevation model, terrain road network information analysis, creating roads, creating earth roads and so on. Obstacle feature extraction based on digital elevation model is the basis of road network construction. Creating roads involves creating initial roads, modifying road parameters, expanding roads, creating objects on both sides of the road center and so on. Creating earth roads involves creating initial roads, modifying Road parameters, expanding roads, creating intersections, creating roads in other directions and so on. Based on the above method, the computer modeling of road network is carried out by Unity3D software. Combined with practical application, good results have been achieved.
