Abstract:
The importance indicators of nodes can reflect the dynamics and operation efficiency of a road network, and their evaluation is a vital part of road network planning. Different node importance indicators are all determined by the topology structure of a road network. Traditionally, the combination weighting method, which combines the subjective analytic hierarchy process with the objective entropy weight method, is used to assign weight to each node indicator and thus generate an integrated indicator to quantify the importance of nodes. However, this integrated indicator ignores the influence of the distance between indicators. To overcome these shortcomings, this paper proposes a novel method for evaluating the importance of nodes, which introduces a distance influence coefficient to improve the traditional gray correlation analysis. Finally, we provide a numerical experiment to demonstrate the proposed novel method. The numerical results show that the method proposed in this paper can more efficiently evaluate the importance of nodes and can serve as a basis for planning a road network.
