Abstract:
The importance of electromobility in private motorized transport is steadily increasing. This raises the question of what impact electric vehicle (EV) charging will have on the power grids and how the increasing load can be controlled. The aim of this study is to investigate the acceptance of incentive-based charging at home by the user and its impact on the power grid. In the past, the consumption of private households was estimated using standard load profiles. This approach is difficult for EV charging as their peak load is usually higher than hitherto existing household consumers and the consumption profile depends heavily on the individual mobility behaviour. Neither the impact on simultaneity nor the capabilities of incentive-based charging have been fully explored yet. The evaluation of the performed field test aims to reduce this gap of knowledge.
