Abstract:
Power quality analysis becomes increasingly important due to a growing share of power electronics. Standard methods to perform power quality measurements are not suitable anymore because short-term changes, such as disturbances which change their characteristics within one mains cycle, cannot be analysed because the measurement intervals are too large. The system used here uses short measurement intervals and allows the analysis of harmonics up to 500 kHz with the possibility to examine the spectral data over the entire measurement duration for each frequency component separately. Therefore, field measurement of electric vehicles and their charging behaviour is examined to show the short-time changes in disturbances that these vehicles emit, and also point out that these interferences influence each other when more than one vehicle is charging simultaneously.
