Abstract:
Because of the groove structure of the motor itself, there is groove torque in the permanent magnet synchronous motor, and the existence of groove torque will inevitably cause the decline of motor performance. Therefore, a way of optimizing Rib and Hrib rotor parameters of PMSM was proposed to decrease the groove torque of PMSM by changing the polar arc coefficient. The relationship between Rib and Hrib parameters and groove torque was analyzed based on the expression, and the optimal combination of parameters was determined by finite element parameterization calculation in the specified parameter interval. The comparison between the optimized results and the non-optimized results shows that when the parameters Rib=15mm and Hrib=4.4mm, the groove torque decreases from 1.29N.m to 0.28N.m, down nearly 78.30%, and the reduction effect is significant. Finally, simulation analysis shows that the optimization has little effect on air gap flux density and no-load back potential.
