Abstract:
To improve the cooling ability of a passive radiative cooler, it is necessary to fully suppress the heat transfer effect between the object and the environment. In this paper, coolers with different radiation and heat insulation capabilities are designed, and the cooling capacity of the cooler is analyzed. The results show that under the same radiation power density, the lower the thermal radiation intensity per unit volume of the cooler, the better the radiation cooling capacity. Under the common convective heat transfer coefficient of 10 W/m2/K, the radiation cooling capacity increases from about 10 °C to 53 °C when the heat absorption depth of the cooler increases from 0.050 mm to 30 mm. The design in this paper breaks the conventional method of selecting strong radiation materials to improve the cooling capacity, and provides a new design idea for improving the performance of radiation cooling materials.
