Long-Time Coherent Integration of the Maneuvering Weak Target for Wideband Radar Based on ACCF-LVD-KT

Abstract:
Compared with narrowband radars, the maneuvering weak target detection of wideband radars faces more difficulties, such as more severe range migration (RM) and Doppler frequency migration (DFM). To deal with this problem, this paper proposes an effective long-time coherent integration (LTCI) algorithm based on ACCD-LVD-KT. Firstly, the Adjacent Cross Correlation Function (ACCF) and Lv’s Distribution (LVD) transform are applied to estimate the acceleration and jerk. Then, the maneuvering phase term is compensated using the estimated parameters and Keystone Transform (KT) is used to correct the range walk (RW). Finally, the high resolution range profiles (HRRPs) of the maneuvering weak target can be reconstructed. Theoretical analyses and simulation examples validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
