Patent Measurement Analysis of 5G Technology

Abstract:
5G has the advantages of large amount of data transmitted and processed, which can provide important support for other critical infrastructure. The world's major economies are actively developing patent layouts around 5G technology. Using incopat patent information retrieval platform, this paper makes a statistical analysis on the annual application trend, patent growth rate, patentee competitiveness, technical theme and technical efficacy of 5G patents in the world. Through data analysis, we can obtain important information such as 5G technology R & D status, technology distribution and patent layout, so as to provide scientific reference for formulating industry development policies. The re-search shows that the global 5G technology research and development is in a period of rapid development, and domes-tic enterprises and scientific research institutes should increase 5G core technology research and development and pa-tent application and protection.
