Abstract:
Proton exchange membranes fuel cells (PEMFC) are clean and efficient. To resolve the problems of high cost and service life, nanotechnology has become one of the main applications of proton exchange membrane fuel cells due to its advantages of lightweight, low cost and durability. This paper aims to summarize the new applications of nanotechnology in the fields of catalyst, proton exchange membranes (PEM) and electrode, and systematically summarize the research results. This research results show that the nanotechnology and nanocomposite materials have proposed targeted solutions to the problems in these three aspects, and further improve the original performance. The application of nanotechnology has also become a major trend in PEMFC. With excellent performance and good adaptability of nanotechnology and nanocomposite, the proton exchange membrane fuel cell can help the process production and commercialization requirements to a large extent and provide new power for the next generation of new energy products.
