Abstract:
The vigorous development of computer-aided translation technology has enabled the translation industry to move from the "paper and pencil era" to the "information age". Taking SDL Trados Studio 2017 and Wordfast Professional editions as examples, this paper compares the two software from localization translation memory, termbase and translation quality control, and further explores the three aspects of functionality, operability and compatibility. On the one hand, the core technologies of the two software packages are compared and discussed to help guide users in the most effective selection of the two packages. On the other hand, the usability of the two packages is compared and discussed to enable software learners to better understand and apply the two packages.
