Abstract:
In Hierarchical Identity-Based Signature (HIBS), once a node compromises its private key, all signatures issued before will no longer be trusted. This will bring disaster to the industries that need historical data to make predictions or to provide follow-up work guarantees. In this paper, we construct a forward-secure HIBS scheme based on the matrix operation to solve this problem. In our scheme, even if the current private key is wholly compromised, it can also ensure the authenticity and integrity of the signatures issued in previous time periods. In addition, we propose a method that supports anomaly detection by arranging historical signatures in a secure order. The node's private key will immediately update when anomalies occur, making the scheme achieve higher security. Furthermore, our scheme also supports node dynamic joining and revocation. The security analysis shows that our scheme is Existentially Unforgeable against Adaptive Chosen Message and Identity Attacks (EU-Adaptive-CMIA). The experimental results show that the proposed scheme has nice practicability.
