Abstract:
Based on several theoretical considerations a predictive energy management system for stationary energy storage systems is developed that reduces cyclic stress and offers improved combination possibilities with other use cases. These use cases can be peak shaving and self-consumption optimization. For this purpose, a simulation environment was developed that can represent the real system. This includes several asynchronous processes that represent the components forecast server, energy management system, and energy storage. These processes communicate with each other via a simulated data bus. This makes it possible to test algorithms for their economic efficiency and effects on the load profile. Subsequently, these can be transferred to the real system with only a few adjustments. Finally, the simulation was tested with highly granular data and allows the combination of peak shaving and self-consumption optimization.
