Abstract:
The numerical simulation of different wing models at zero angle of attack was investigated. This simulation uses Python to build a model, and constructs the shape of sine function, cosine function, quadratic function and cubic function respectively. Different shape functions were found to significantly influence the subsequent flow field. Furthermore, the areas near the surface of the airfoil show more disturbances of X- and Y-velocities. NumPy and Matplotlib package were used to calculate the velocity on X-axis and Y-axis and display the results in graph.
