Abstract:
Automatic guided vehicles (AGVs) are widely used in automated manufacturing workshops. Efficient AGV scheduling can improve transportation efficiency and reduce cost. Recently, the energy consumption of AGVs is also receiving great attention. The goal of this paper is to obtain a solution that minimizes energy consumption. For this goal, a linear programming model with AGV load as a variable is established. A new method of determining speed is proposed to reduce the start-up energy. An improved discrete artificial bee colony algorithm (DABC) is proposed to get the better solution. Finally, the effectiveness of algorithm is proved through experiments.
