Abstract:
In this study, a high gain multiband dual-polarized dipole antenna is proposed for 5G applications, which consists of a pair of ± 45deg cross-dipoles, director and two inverted Γ-shaped improved feeding structures. By adding the director, the peak gain of the antenna is approximately 7.58 dB, and the directional pattern is stronger. According to the simulated results, the bandwidth of port1 and port2 are 41.7% (3.13–4.78 GHz) and 38.2% (3.13–4.61 GHz), respectively. The port-to-port isolation can reach up to 22 dB. The antenna has the advantages of a wide band, good isolation, a stable radiation pattern and high gain, which can provide a good idea for the design of array antenna in 5G communications.
