Abstract:
Guangxi Province represents one of the regions peppered with well-preserved Chinese ethnic architectures while many ancient buildings are in urgent need of protection and restoration for the sake of better preservation of national culture and language heritage. At present, the Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology, an emerging technology in the field of construction, can construct building information models according to field survey information, and the 3-Dimensional printing technology can print out structures for the study of simulation model entity structures and sculptures, effectively improving the research quality of national ancient architectures in Guangxi. Taking the building of the Guanyin Pavilion in Hepu city as an example, the application of BIM+3D printing fusion technology in national ancient architecture research and restoration is analyzed so as to provide fresh ideas for the future research of national ancient buildings.
