Abstract:
In order to reduce the noise and vibration of gearbox in new energy vehicles, a 6-DOF gear misalignment model is introduced for analyzing the impact of the manufacturing error, assembly error, tooth deformation and micro-geometric modification on the gear mesh stiffness, static transmission error and load transmission. In the model, the theoretical mesh stiffness is calculated based on the potential energy method. To verify the gear misalignment model, a reduced 2-DOF model is established both in the most uesd commuricial transmission design tool ROMAX and in our numerical code, comparable results can be calculated. Finally, the effects of the modification on the STE and load distribution are analyzed by a 6-DOF gear misalignment model. The results show that the model can extremely reduce the computation time, and the modification scheme greatly improves the load distribution and reduces the peak-to-peak value of STE.
