Abstract:
The asymmetric cross-section of the rotor can cause time-dependent stiffness in the fixed coordinate system, so that the dynamics of asymmetric rotor is different from these of the symmetric rotor. In this paper, the finite element model of the rotor bearing system of the combined cycle unit is established in the rotating coordinate system. Aiming at reducing the degrees of freedom of the model, the fixed-interface component mode synthesis is introduced. The effects of anisotropy of bearings on stability and steady-state response of the system are programmatically investigated. The results show that the anisotropy of bearings will make the parametric vibration more serious. Some specific performances such as splitting and expanding of the unstable region, increasing of high order harmonic vibration components and splitting of resonant peaks will occur. The study of this paper can present reference for the design of the widely existing asymmetric rotor in industry.
