Abstract:
For most torque optimal control concepts of transverse flux machines, special pre-estimated reference current waveforms are used. These waveforms are mostly calculated with the help of 3D finite element simulations and stored in look-up tables. In order to reduce the computation effort and the interpolating errors of these lookup tables, a new control concept was developed, where the reference current waveform is online calculated and adaptively adjusted based on an integrated system model. In combination with a previously presented adaptive system parameter correction and a dynamic compensation controller, a complete torque optimal control is realized.
