Abstract:
Power semiconductors are key parts of power electronics equipment, and various performances are required depending on the application. In this paper, we focus on the new X-series 6.5kV/900A HVIGBT (High Voltage Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) adapted to railway applications and explain how to achieve both high efficiency and robustness. We also introduce the contributions that this technological advance brings to power electronics equipment.
