Abstract:
The molecular mechanism of coix seed used to treat diabetes was studied based on network pharmacology. The active components of coix seed were obtained by TCMSP database. The target of coix seed active compounds was screened by HIT and TTD database, then target dataset was established, OMIM database was used to screen diabetes-related targets, and PPI database was used to construct interactive targets of coix seed and diabetes. The "component-targetdisease" interaction network was constructed using Cytoscape software and the target gene function and signal pathways were analyzed by ClueGO plug-in. 29 active constituents of Coix seed were obtained. The network analysis indicated that the active components of Coix seed are closely related to the 35 protein targets such as Cellular tumor antigen p53, Estrogen receptor, Nitric oxide synthase, endothelial, etc. In addition, Insulin resistance, Insulin signaling pathway, Type II diabetes mellitus, and apoptosis signal pathways were involved. This study provides new ideas and new directions for further research on the anti-diabetic mechanism of Coix seed.
