Abstract:
Ara h 3, a major peanut allergen, has not been fully researched, partially because its purification is quite difficult. In this study, anion exchange column chromatography was employed to purify Ara h 3 and concentrated. Relatively highly purified Ara h 3 was obtained by using appropriate protein purifier, suitably-sized anion exchange column and applicable elution conditions. This approach was characterized by several advantages, such as less steps and less time consuming. The established purification method with high efficiency and convenience would play an important role in Ara h 3 purification and further structural and functional study.
