Abstract:
The goal of this work is to increase the quantity and quality of crop produced in greenhouses. This is realized by the development and practical application of smart wireless sensor networks in greenhouses for the growth of various crops. New innovative ion-selective and environmental sensors are being developed and combined with cost-effective commercial high-tech sensors. Wireless network technologies for sensor data collection and smart analysis techniques are used together with plant grow models for grow optimization, plant stress reduction, disease and pest control. Today, this work is under practical test in field-labs and valorisation trajectories with agricultural companies have been started.
