Abstract:
At a first glance the two-switch flyback converter, shown in fig.1, has a grave disadvantage when as it needs two primary-side switches instead of only one as in the classic flyback converter and even one of these switches is not referenced to ground. But on second glance this topology exhibits a number of advantages that, depending on the application, can justify the use of a second switch significantly.
