Abstract:
This paper presents a new methodology for balancing the switching behavior of paralleled IGBTpower modules controlled by a single output stage. The proposed usage of a differential mode choke synchronizes the gate currents of the parallel IGBTs and thus the switching transients of the collector current and finally the sharing of the AC-currents are equalized.
