Abstract:
A self-powered wireless sensor module which uses a thermo-generator as power supply is presented. The module comprises a wireless transceiver and a sensing unit to monitor and send the data to a nearby base station every second. The energy consumption can be covered totally by the thermo-generator and the human body as heat source. The low output voltage levels obtained from the thermo-generator have motivated the design of a power management unit with a start-up voltage of 60 mV.
