Abstract:
Congestion is the main cause of degradation of Quality of Service (QoS) in mobile networks. Previous studies show that pricing is an efficient mean to manage the use of telecommunication network resources. The aim of this work is to propose a method to plan pricing policy which is able to reduce congestion in mobile networks. In this paper, we firstly define a model to plan such pricing policy. Then we present some improvements, and in order to generalize the model to a whole network, we propose a pricing per cell cluster. We investigate a method to cluster the network into groups of cells according to cell proprieties and we propose a method to compute the optimal prices vector for each group. Finally, we evaluate the impact of this model on the network performances with three key performance indicators.
